III.             DON’T BE WORN DOWN BY THE WALK OF INTEGRITY

VS 8-9

Doing right is always right.

A.    Trust in the Lord. vs 3

A preacher was driving up a narrow mountain road behind a long line of cars.  A large moving van was ahead.  No one dared to pass the man as a car might be approaching from the opposite direction.  At the crest of the mountain, the driver of the van waved his hand, indicating tha tall was clear ahead.  Probably this man was a stranger to all those whom he waved past.  They saw only his hand.  More than a dozen people trusted their lives and the lives of their families to that total stranger! We trust one another with our lives many times a day – on buses and planes and cars.  But few are willing to trust themselves to the care of God whose eye is always upon them.

“Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.” Jer. 17:7

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee; because he trusteth in thee.” Isa. 26:3

B.     Delight in the Lord. Vs 4

Psalm 37:4   Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart

Psalm 1:2  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

C.     Commit your ways to the Lord. Vs. 5

“Since the first day that God put the poor of London, England, upon my heart, God has had all there was of William Booth.”  William Booth.

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23

D.    Rest in the Lord. Vs 7

“Be still and know that I am God!”

E.     Wait on the Lord. Vs 7 & 9
